The Imperial Court of Rhode Island at Providence

Memorial Scholarship Application

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in The Imperial Court of Rhode Island Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund, created by Emperor XVIII Big Daddy Austen Daniels and Empress XVIII Jacqueline DiMera, is an opportunity to give back to the Rhode Island & Southeastern Massachusetts’ LGBTQ community and promote higher education. The Imperial Court of Rhode Island at Providence, currently in its 31st year of existence, is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and is a chapter of the International Court System.

The International Court System, founded in 1965, is an international, non-profit organization with over 75 chapters spanning the countries of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The mission of the International Court System is to perform noble deeds and services to each of the communities in its chapter cities. Each chapter is an autonomous organization bound together in shared structure, policies and goals.

The International Court System has played a significant role in many local LGBTQ communities, spearheading AIDS fundraising and services, human rights advocacy, and for many, the link to the LGBTQ community. We promote cooperation and communication among member courts, create awareness and visibility, and stake our place in LGBTQ history.
